The company is a well-established, very high-end gate automation company that specialises in high-end commercial and high-end domestic properties providing gates and automated barriers in the London area as well as Essex. They offer a bespoke service to ensure their clients are always looked after, and their high-end engineering staff means that word of mouth business is always round the corner.

Due to expansion, they are recruiting for a Trainee gate automation engineer. You will be:

  • Covering in and around the London and M25 area as well as Essex where they are based
  • Providing service, repairs, and assisting with installation of automatic gates and barriers for high-end commercial and very high-end domestic properties
  • Working on sliding gates, swing gates, bi-fold gates, driveway gates, electric and automated gates, iron, steel, and wooden gates

Skills needed to be a Trainee gate automation engineer:

  • Experience working with hand tools on site within an electrical or mechanical sector
  • You need to be at least 24 years old for van insurance purposes
  • Having any automated gates experience would be great but they would look at someone in electrical, mechanical, lifts, construction, etc.
  • Having any welding experience would be beneficial but is not essential
  • You need the right attitude to learn and progress as you will be provided with continuous training
  • Living close to the office just outside of Braintree in Essex

Salary and Benefits for a Trainee gate automation engineer:

  • £25-30k basic
  • Full training on gates and automation
  • Plenty of overtime if wanted when you are trained up
