A great opportunity to work with an established and growing care company providing residential live-in support and supported accommodation support for children and young adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. They are always growing and take pride in the support they give the children – they believe that setting them up with the life skills now will help them turn into well-rounded members of the community. Their staff are always on hand to provide emotional support as well as helping to teach and develop the children for the future.
They are recruiting for a Supported Accommodation Team Leader for young people, you will be:
- Based in a group supported home for young people, a self-contained flat complex
- Working 2 shifts per week (10am till 10am next day is a shift)
- Based at their Southport complex (PR9)
- Working with male and female young adults from 16-18 years old
- Supporting the young adult with preparing them for living alone and helping them navigate self-sufficiency and growing into a responsible adult
- Making sure they are supported emotionally as well so they can work towards not needing the support as they grow older
- Helping run the complex with the home manager – dealing with H&S, OFSTED paperwork, safeguarding, assisting new starters there
Salary and benefits for a Supported Accommodation Team Leader:
- £15.33 without the NVQ level 3 OR £15.94 if you already have it
- £60 per sleep in – in addition paid for 36 hours per week on the above rate (32 hours on shift, 4 hours for paperwork)
- 224 hours holiday per year – you get an extra 2 days when you have been there 2 years
- Bank holidays paid at x1.5
- A great support network with further training and development
- Free parking on site if you need it

Qualifications/Experience/Requirements for a Young Persons Supported Accommodation Team Leader:
- Living within travelling distance to the complex in Southport
- NVQ level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce would be beneficial but is not essential
- You would also need some sort of experience working with older children or young adults within either a home or assisted living setting; they would also look at someone who has worked in assisted/supported living for adult care
- Experience with safeguarding, children’s health and safety and OFSTED would be needed as well as good paperwork skills
