Good opportunities to work for a nationwide, commercial laundry company that is going through some great expansion these past few years. After a number of company acquisitions they are looking to strengthen their position to be able to provide a quality service to its clients. They have been running over 20 years and can count some very well-known companies as clients.
Due to expansion, they are currently looking for a commercial laundry equipment engineer. You will be:
- Providing service and maintenance on commercial laundry equipment – commercial and industrial washing machines, tumble driers, rotary irons, finishing machines, dishwashers and some dosing machines
- Working on electrical and gas fired commercial laundry equipment
- Covering Devon
- Working with clients such as nursing homes, hospitals, offices, holiday parks, hotels
Experience / skills required for a commercial laundry engineer:
- Experience within commercial laundry equipment would be beneficial but is not essential
- They are looking to train someone up on gas commercial laundry equipment so need someone with existing domestic or commercial gas certificates
- They would also consider someone who has experience working on commercial catering equipment or commercial dishwashers
- Living anywhere in or around Devon, ideally living Barnstaple to Taunton to Exeter but also further south to Torquay would be considered
- Good electrical competency
Salary for a commercial laundry engineer:
- 38k basic if you have any gas certificates
- 35k basic if you don’t have gas certs but have relevant electrical industry experience
- Door to door travel pay
- 2k annual performance bonus paid on a quarterly basis
- Van, phone, overtime
- Call out rota for 1 weekend in 6
- 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
- Great further training on gas laundry equipment
