Good opportunities to work for a nationwide, commercial laundry company that is going through some great expansion these past few years. After a number of company acquisitions, they are looking to strengthen their position to provide a quality service to its clients. They have been running for over 20 years and can count some very well-known companies as clients.
Due to expansion, they are currently looking for a commercial laundry equipment engineer. You will be:
- Providing service and maintenance on commercial laundry equipment – commercial and industrial washing machines, tumble driers, rotary irons, finishing machines, dishwashers, and some dosing machines.
- Working on electrical and gas-fired commercial laundry equipment.
- Covering Devon.
- Working with clients such as nursing homes, hospitals, offices, holiday parks, and hotels.
Experience / skills required for a commercial laundry engineer:
- Experience within commercial laundry equipment would be beneficial but is not essential.
- They are looking to train someone up on gas commercial laundry equipment, so need someone with existing domestic or commercial gas certificates.
- They would also consider someone who has experience working on commercial catering equipment or commercial dishwashers.
- Living anywhere in or around Devon, ideally from Barnstaple to Taunton to Exeter, but also further south to Torquay would be considered.
- Good electrical competency.
Salary for a commercial laundry engineer:
- £38k basic if you have any gas certificates.
- £35k basic if you don’t have gas certificates but have relevant electrical industry experience.
- Door-to-door travel pay.
- £2k annual performance bonus paid on a quarterly basis.
- Van, phone, overtime.
- Call out rota for 1 weekend in 6.
- 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
- Great further training on gas laundry equipment.
