My client is a well established; family run, successful, commercial catering equipment contractor that provide service and maintenance on catering equipment, refrigeration and air conditioning systems all over the south west. With over 60 years of trading experience they are stable, cash rich and due to expansion are recruiting in full force for 2025 and into 2026. They have a low staff turnover as engineers feel valued and taken care of.

• 37-45k basic salary depending on experience
• Door to door travel pay
• Companywide yearly profit share scheme after you\’ve been there 6 months
• Van, phone, fuel card, uniform
• 23 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
• Overtime available, call out rota of 1 in 4 weekends (£80 standby)

Role overview

Due to more expansion, they are recruiting for a Commercial Catering COMCAT service engineer. You will be:

• Providing a lot of service and maintenance on commercial catering equipment (gas and electrical)
• Working on combi ovens, grills, burners, fryers, dishwashers and other gas or electrical catering equipment
• Working with a wide range of clients including schools, hospitals, MOD sites and various hospitality clients
• Covering Mid to South Cornwall

Responsibilities

• Perform service and maintenance on commercial catering equipment (gas and electrical) as a COMCAT engineer
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and ensure equipment is safe and compliant
• Maintain accurate service reports and liaise with clients on repair timelines

Requirements / Qualifications

• COMCAT gas certificates required
• Ideally living around Mid to South Cornwall
• Good customer service skills
• Any experience with refrigeration or electrical certs is beneficial but not essential
