Overview

A great opportunity to work with an established and growing care company providing residential live-in support for children and teenagers with challenging behaviour. They are always growing and take pride in the support they give the children, believing that setting them up with life skills now will help them become well-rounded members of the community. Staff provide emotional support and help to develop the children for the future.

Responsibilities

  • Based in a children\’s residential home in Seton on Merseyside
  • Work pattern: 2 full days and nights followed by 4 days and nights off
  • Support children with a younger age group
  • Assist with daily routines: making breakfast, helping them get dressed and to school, washing clothes, school pickups, cooking dinner, bathing, and bedtime
  • Provide emotional support and aid learning and development to give a stable and loving environment

Benefits and salary

  • £14.51 per hour if you have your Level 3 qualification, £13.03 per hour if you do not have it but have experience
  • £60 per sleep-in
  • 224 hours of holiday per year; an extra 2 days after 2 years of service
  • Bank holidays paid at x1.5
  • Private health care
  • Supportive network with further training and development
  • Claim petrol back at 40p per mile

Qualifications / Experience / Requirements

  • Living in or around the Sefton area on Merseyside
  • Full UK driving licence; own vehicle preferred, but a house car is available
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce would be very beneficial; considerations for those working towards Level 3
  • Experience working within children\’s homes with children
