This is a high‑impact role with significant visibility across the organisation, offering the opportunity to influence how finance adds value to the wider business.

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for driving improvements in financial systems, processes, and data integrity, ensuring finance operates efficiently, transparently, and with strong governance. What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and deliver the finance transformation roadmap, aligned to strategic business priorities
  • Lead a portfolio of initiatives spanning finance systems (ERP), automation, process standardisation, reporting, data quality, and financial controls
  • Drive measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and governance across finance operations
  • Own the finance systems landscape, including selection, implementation, optimisation, and system integration
  • Establish a robust single source of truth for financial data and enhance reporting, dashboards, and KPIs
  • Partner with the CFO and senior leadership to provide insight and support strategic decision‑making
  • Redesign and embed best‑practice finance processes and controls to support business growth
  • Lead change initiatives, ensuring strong governance, stakeholder engagement, and adoption across the organisation
  • Influence and collaborate with senior and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver change at pace
  • Contribute to building a high‑performing, collaborative finance function, providing leadership and coaching where required

We are looking for people with:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Proven track record leading finance transformation and delivering finance‑wide change programmes
  • Strong understanding of financial systems
  • Demonstrable experience improving finance processes, controls, and reporting frameworks
  • Highly analytical, with excellent problem‑solving capability and a data‑driven mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to translate complex financial information for non‑finance audiences
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross‑functional initiatives

What’s in it for you:

  • Contributory pension, including life assurance, and income protection
  • We offer an informal hybrid working model, with a minimum of 8 office days every 4 weeks.
  • Additional leave: 2 paid volunteering days per year and family‑friendly policy
  • Wellbeing support, including our Employee Assistance Programme
  • On‑site gym and parking at Stuart House, Peterborough
  • Reward Gateway scheme – Smart Spending App with access to a range of deals and discounts
