Frontline Recruitment is hiring a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our client’s service team. This role involves working across a range of customer sites, providing technical support, maintenance, and installation services for industrial equipment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, customer satisfaction, and high service standards through both reactive and planned maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of equipment
  • Responding to breakdowns and carrying out reactive maintenance
  • Performing planned maintenance and routine servicing
  • Carrying out unplanned maintenance as required
  • Replacing and repairing components
  • Installation and commissioning of equipment
  • Providing operator training and system handovers
  • Completing service reports and related administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in a mobile, field-based role
  • Home-based with travel to customer sites
  • Flexible approach to overtime and occasional overnight stays
  • Multi-skilled engineer with a preference for electrical bias
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Relevant technical qualifications or completed apprenticeship (or equivalent experience)
  • Good IT skills
  • Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
  • High attention to detail and pride in quality of work
