You will possess a flexible, friendly and βcan doβ attitude as part of our enthusiastic workforce dedicated to providing the best customer service. Responsibilities: β Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver goods to customers in a timely manner β Load and unload products from the vehicle β Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery β Communicate with customers to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries β Complete necessary paperwork and maintain records of deliveries β Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle β Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations β Deliver customers goods in a safe and efficient manner in a company van Β· Keep accurate records of deliveries and customer authorisation and ensure all documentation is filed appropriately Β· Lifting heavy products or parcels Β· Keep company vehicle clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is ready to drive Β· Professional with customers at all times and maintain the high standards of our business Β· Maintain and book in any goods within the stores when not driving the van Β· Be open to developing within the business and learning new skills Β· Assisting with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock as well as sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves. Β· Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing, and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule Ideally have previous experience within Electrical Wholesale but not essential. You will have confidence in speaking to a variety of people, excellent communication skills and a good telephone manner. The ability to follow procedures whilst being accurate and efficient is a must as well as being hardworking with the willingness to learn. It would be beneficial for you to have good knowledge of the local area.
