Job post summary Date posted: 8 August 2025 Pay: £30,000.00 per year Job description: Position: Van Driver Location: Nottingham Employment Type: Full-time As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to our customers throughout Nottingham and surrounding areas providing exceptional customer service. You will possess a flexible, friendly and ‘can do’ attitude as part of our enthusiastic workforce dedicated to providing the best customer service. Responsibilities: – Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver goods to customers in a timely manner – Load and unload products from the vehicle – Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery – Communicate with customers to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries – Complete necessary paperwork and maintain records of deliveries – Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle – Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations – Deliver customers goods in a safe and efficient manner in a company van · Keep accurate records of deliveries and customer authorisation and ensure all documentation is filed appropriately · Lifting heavy products or parcels · Keep company vehicle clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is ready to drive · Professional with customers at all times and maintain the high standards of our business · Maintain and book in any goods within the stores when not driving the van · Be open to developing within the business and learning new skills · Assisting with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock as well as sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves. · Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing, and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule Ideally have previous experience within Electrical Wholesale but not essential. You will have confidence in speaking to a variety of people, excellent communication skills and a good telephone manner. The ability to follow procedures whilst being accurate and efficient is a must as well as being hardworking with the willingness to learn. It would be beneficial for you to have good knowledge of the local area. Hours of work would be Monday-Friday 7.30am-5.00pm,Some Saturday mornings may be required on a rotational basis. 1in 4. 1 Hour Lunch Qualifications: – Valid UK driver\’s license with a clean driving record (max 3 points) – Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role -Counterbalance FLT License -Right to work in the UK – Ability to navigate various routes – Excellent communication skills to interact with customers professionally – Strong attention to detail and time management skills – Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the job – Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus Benefits: – Competitive salary – Opportunities for career advancement within the company If you are a motivated individual with a passion for driving and delivering exceptional service, we encourage you to apply for this position.
