We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Admin Assistant to join our clients team in Derby. Easily reached from Derby City Centre, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in processing customer orders from initiation to fulfilment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process. This position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers to guarantee customer satisfaction.
Duties:
- Receiving incoming telephone calls in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Liaise with customers via the telephone to confirm order details, address inquiries, and resolve any issues related to their orders.
- Process incoming customer orders accurately and efficiently using the company’s order management system.
- Collaborate with the warehouse management to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Maintain accurate records of all orders, including changes and cancellations, in compliance with company policies.
- Learn the quotation process as this effectively integrated into this role.
- Enter all data into Sage to ensure correct reporting procedures are maintained.
- Administration tasks deemed necessary by the Business manager.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an order processing or customer service environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Proficient in using computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite and order management systems although full training will be given so not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management processes is advantageous but not essential.
- A positive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement is highly valued.
- A good telephone manner.
- A team player.
Salary: Negotiable dependent upon experience (up to £28,000.00 per year)
Weekly pay: 1 week in arrears!
