Frontline Recruitment Derby Limited are working in partnership with a reputable business based on the outskirts of Derby and are hiring an experienced multi-skilled Engineer for their manufacturing business.
Job Duties:
- Carry out routine maintenance & inspections, including PPM & Thermographic.
- Carry out planned repairs to Injection Mould & Blow Mould machinery, factory and services.
- Ideally have knowledge of plastics and the plastics processing requirements.
- Complete maintenance documentation, i.e. Engineering Reports and PPM Schedules, using Agility Engineering Reporting and T1oo Hazard Reporting.
- Evaluate/identify and carry out improvements to machinery and factory.
- Work closely with shift personnel.
- Liaise directly with suppliers and service engineers.
- Repair breakdowns in a safe & time efficient manner.
- Have a sound knowledge of electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic fault finding.
- Be fully conversant with all schematic drawings.
Successful candidate must have a flexible approach towards this position, currently working a 3 shift working pattern. Paid overtime will be required to work as & when required and a callout pattern has been implemented within the department (including weekends 1 weekend in 6). Overtime paid at T1/4 Monday to Friday, weekends at T1.4. Ideally the candidate will have experience of plastic manufacturing or a high volume production environment, with the understanding of meeting targets and deadlines.
Salary: Up to £19.20 Per Hour, plus enhanced overtime and on call weekend payment (1 in 6 weeks rota).
Start Date: Immediate
Shifts: Mornings, Nights, Afternoons – therefore you need to be flexible for any changes in working patterns to support the needs of the business.
