Salary - £35,464 pa plus:

The Role:
We are looking to add an experienced injection moulding setter to join an experienced team in Pinxton. As the Setter on shift, you will work with 2-3 other Setters, and you will be responsible for the set up and tool changes of the mould tools to ensure efficient and safe production runs. As an injection moulding setter, you will work a rotating days, nights and afters 3 shift pattern in our high production output factory. Hours of work: 40 hours per week. 3 shift weekly rotation (Monday-Friday - 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am).
Main duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Take a “safety first” approach to all activities you do whilst at work. As a Setter, we expect you to lead by example to protect the health and safety of yourself and all colleagues/visitors on site.
- Apply technical knowledge to the set-up of each job in terms of quality, safety and machine operation, taking responsibility for achieving optimum operational conditions at the start of each job.
- Complete repair and maintenance work on a variety of machinery from 60t-1500t in line with standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
- Condition set Injection moulding machines from scratch.
- Set 3-axis Sepro and Viper robots.
- Be responsible for Quality checks, fault finding and keeping the machines running efficiently.
- Analyse cycle times and product weight to ensure targets are met and machines run efficiently.
- Promote a positive and safe working environment by following Company policies and procedures and treating all colleagues/visitors with dignity and respect.
- Maintain a tidy work area, following our Continuous improvement practices.
- Be a point of contact for colleagues to identify and implement continuous improvements.
- To arrive at work and be dressed in correct PPE ready to start work at your start time. For the avoidance of doubt, this will mean you must arrive to work with enough time to get changed and handover with the Setter on the shift before the start of your shift.
Qualifications/Certificates required:
- IMT level 3 qualified or equivalent, or;
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with Billon, Engel and Arburg injection mould machines is not essential but preferred.
- Experience working with Sepro 3-axis robots or similar robot set ups.
