The responsibilities of a Packaging Data and Compliance Associate include ensuring that all packaging meets legal, safety, and company standards, and preparing documentation and data in line with regulatory requirements.
They review packaging specifications, designs, materials, and labels to ascertain compliance with EU PPWR regulations. The ideal candidate is familiar with packaging and EU PPWR packaging regulations and can work closely with packaging and cross-functional teams plus suppliers to ensure full compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing packaging component specifications to ensure compliance with EU PPWR regulatory requirements.
- Building and maintaining EU PPWR Master Dossier documentation for full packaging consumer unit.
- Recyclability assessments of the EU PPWR Master Dossier documentation for full packaging consumer unit.
- For plastic packaging total assessment of Post Consumer Recyclate (PCR) average percentage for the EU PPWR Master Dossier documentation for full packaging consumer unit.
- Updating and maintaining EU PPWR dossier folders including supporting documentation from suppliers and assessments.
- Updating and maintaining dossier data including EPR risk score.
- Working closely with packaging teams, suppliers, and other related teams to ensure all packaging materials are safe, legal, and meet product-specific requirements.
- Staying up to date with changes in packaging regulations and guidelines.
- Maintaining accurate compliance records related to packaging materials.
- Communicating regulatory updates and potential risks to the Packaging Sustainability Manager.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to packaging sustainability and data accuracy.
The role is offered on a fixed term contract basis and paid as a day rate in line with a salary circa £28-£30k per annum.
