Frontline Recruitment Derby are seeking a Manual Machinist to play a crucial role in our clients engineering operation. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for operating manual machines to produce parts according to specifications. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for precision machining and hands-on work.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize manual machining techniques to produce high-quality parts
- Work with various materials
- Perform manual machining operations
- Maintain manual machines for optimal performance
- Use hand tools effectively to achieve desired outcomes
- Operate lathes and grinders advantageous but not essential as full training will be given to technically minded individuals with the right attitude.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience operating manual machines
- Previous experience of using a lathe or grinder beneficial but not essential as training will be provided
- Physically fit to lift reasonable weights of material throughout your shift
- Flexible for day shifts and afternoon shifts on a 2 weekly rotation
Shift Work:
Days 06:00 -14:30 Monday-Fri (early finish Friday 1.30 pm)
Afternoons 14:00 -22:30 Mon-Thurs with Friday off
40 hour week
Pay:
Average of £13.75 ph plus
Overtime at T1/2 over 40 hours + Sat
Sun/BH - Double Time - weekly pay
Quarterly bonus scheme
