We’re looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead food safety, legality, and quality standards across our manufacturing site. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining BRC compliance, protecting product integrity, and coaching teams to deliver consistently high standards in a fast-paced food production environment.

The Role

You’ll oversee day-to-day quality operations, ensuring raw materials, in-process, and finished products meet food safety, legal, and customer requirements. You’ll proactively identify and escalate non-conformances, drive continuous improvement, and act as a key technical contact for suppliers, customers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead food safety, quality, and BRC compliance across the site
  • Sample and test raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Maintain and audit quality documentation, CCPs, HACCP, and prerequisite programs
  • Conduct internal audits, GMP audits, traceability exercises, and annual recall tests
  • Manage complaints, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality performance reporting
  • Oversee environmental testing (water, swabbing, allergens) and supplier approval systems
  • Ensure accurate technical information is provided to customers and received from suppliers
  • Update and control the Quality Manual, procedures, and records
  • Lead by example on compliance, food safety culture, and continuous improvement
  • Support cross-functional teams to meet service and operational targets

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Quality control experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, allergens, and BRC requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing site
  • Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and quality systems
  • Hands-on, resilient, and improvement-focused mindset
