We’re hiring a manual machinist/tooling technician for a reputable production company based 20 mins from Derby. This is a hands-on Manual Machinist role and we seek suitable applications for technically minded people or those with the enthusiasm to learn the technician side of the business to ensure the smooth running of the machines and preventative maintenance.

The Job
- Operate and maintain manual machines, including:
- Jones & Shipman Grinder
- Bridgeport Turret Mill
- Manual Lathes
The successful candidate
Essential:
- Experience operating manual mills, grinders, or lathes
- Previous work in a mechanical or engineering workshop
- Practical, hands-on approach and good attention to detail
Preferred:
- Knowledge of press tools or toolmaking
- Experience with Jones & Shipman or Bridgeport machines
- Full UK driving license due to the location or live locally

- Competitive pay – £15.00–£16.00 per hour (depending on experience) plus overtime at enhanced rates
