We are seeking a skilled Grinder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in fabricating and assembling sheet metal components. As a Grinder, you will be responsible for grinding, welding, and finishing metal parts to ensure they meet quality standards. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with various hand tools and tooling equipment.

Duties

  • Grind and finish metal components to specified tolerances and surface finishes.
  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform welding tasks as needed to ensure structural integrity of assembled products.
  • Utilise basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication processes.
  • Proficiency in grinding techniques and familiarity with various hand tools.
  • Experience in welding is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings related to sheet metal work.
