About the Role
If you are looking for an opportunity to develop your commercial and analytical skills, supported by people who love to learn and take on new challenges, this position could be the right one for you. Join us as a Supply Chain Commercial Analyst! You will report to the Supply Chain Commercial Manager, and you will focus on data analysis and performance reporting to support commercial decision-making across the supply chain. You’ll need to be comfortable working with large data sets and working through potential solutions when the answer is not immediately obvious. Your role will be pivotal in supporting contract negotiations and supplier management across the whole supply chain including our biggest contracts for logistics, subscriptions postage and mailing. You’ll also be providing deep insight into revenue generating and cost saving opportunities. You’ll need to be a self-starter, with an eye for detail and an interest to learn. In return, you’ll have an opportunity to sharpen your ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and gain an in-depth commercial understanding of how the supply chain works. You’ll also be part of some huge upcoming contract negotiations and take ownership for creating a suite of dashboards so we can spend less time sifting through data and more time finding opportunities.
Job Opportunity
- Building, reporting on and analysing dashboards across key Supply Chain margin metrics eg. Carriage, RR, CRS (Commercial Re-use Solutions), Diversification, Subscriptions
- Producing monthly cost and revenue reporting to identify risks and opportunities
- Contract analysis and supporting commercial negotiations with key suppliers (e.g. Whistl, Royal Mail, New Suppliers)
- Supporting carriage budget creation and forecast calculations
- Supporting monthly setup and maintenance of carriage invoicing processes
- Regular forecasting and analysis of key subscription metrics.
