Job Description: HGV Driver (Concrete Mixer)
Our client is a successful and innovative independent building materials supplier that supplies products and services including mixed onsite concrete, ready-mix concrete, traditional and flowing screeds, loose and bagged aggregates, and concrete pump hire from their depots in Welwyn Garden City, Milton Keynes, and Northampton.
They are looking for an experienced HGV driver to operate their volumetric mixers.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Driving to multiple customer sites daily, ranging from DIY customers to major construction sites.
- Dealing with customers professionally.
- Batching and mixing concrete using the volumetric mixer mounted on the truck.
- Safely loading the truck with a front-end loader.
- Using a PDA to issue receipts.
Requirements:
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Strong work ethic and interest in the construction industry.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day, with weekend availability. Night shifts are occasionally offered and are paid at a higher rate.
