Frontline Construction Recruitment is currently looking for experienced Steel Fixers to work on a busy construction project in Cambridge.
We are looking for reliable, hardworking operatives with previous site experience who can work efficiently as part of a team and maintain high standards of workmanship.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Fixing and tying steel reinforcement bars and mesh
- Reading and working from reinforcement drawings
- Cutting, bending and positioning reinforcement steel
- Installing reinforcement for concrete structures, foundations, beams and slabs
- Ensuring steel is fixed accurately to project specifications
- Working alongside other trades to meet project deadlines
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Steel Fixer is essential
- Valid CSCS card
- Ability to read reinforcement drawings preferred
- Full PPE and relevant tools
- Good understanding of site health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
