A well-established and growing roofing contractor is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee compliance and drive safety standards across multiple live roofing projects. This is a hands-on role supporting operational teams on site while ensuring company-wide adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations.
The Role:
- Lead all health & safety activity across roofing projects
- Develop, review and implement RAMS
- Conduct regular site inspections and compliance audits
- Ensure adherence to CDM Regulations and current HSE guidance
- Deliver toolbox talks and workforce briefings
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Maintain compliance documentation and support external audits
- Advise senior management on risk mitigation and best practice
Essential Experience:
- Proven Health & Safety experience within the roofing or wider construction sector
- Strong understanding of work-at-height risks and safe systems of work
- Experience overseeing multiple sites simultaneously
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (minimum)
- Working knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
- NEBOSH Diploma
- IOSH Membership
- Experience supporting accreditation processes (CHAS, Constructionline, etc.)
