At Frontiers, our Research Integrity team plays a critical role in ensuring that the science we publish is trustworthy, ethical, and rigorously vetted. As a Research Integrity Auditor Specialist, you will be at the forefront of investigating complex cases, identifying patterns, and helping shape the future of ethical publishing. You will report to the Research Integrity Auditing Manager and collaborate closely with colleagues across all journal portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Review current editorial pipelines and journal practices to proactively identify potential research integrity risks
- Lead in-depth assessments of escalated cases involving manuscripts, editors, reviewers, and authors
- Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements to prevent future issues
- Assess the urgency of cases and escalate them appropriately when needed
- Work closely with Research Integrity Managers and Specialists to gather insights and align on next steps
- Present findings and proposed actions clearly, ensuring each case reaches a well-documented resolution
You are
- Experienced in academic or STM publishing, with exposure to research integrity or ethical issue management
- A confident communicator who can navigate sensitive conversations with professionalism and diplomacy
- Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Educated to MSc/PhD level or equivalent
- Fluent in English (C2 level), with solid working knowledge of Excel and Salesforce
