The role:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Product Manager to own and evolve the Salesforce applications that support our Publishing Operations teams β including Research Integrity, Review Operations, and Production. These teams rely on Salesforce as their primary workspace to manage workflows critical to the integrity and efficiency of our publishing process. This is a high-impact role that will collaborate closely with Publishing leadership, Product Managers of the core publishing platform, and Technology teams. Your goal is to deliver a seamless, efficient, and integrated workspace experience for internal users, ensuring the tools are tightly aligned with operational needs and publishing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for the suite of Salesforce applications used by Publishing Operations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all Salesforce-related initiatives within Publishing Operations.
- Work closely with the Research Integrity, Review Operations, and Production teams to deeply understand their processes, challenges, and needs.
- Partner with Product Managers of the core publishing platform to ensure seamless integration and data flow between systems.
- Translate operational requirements into clear user stories and collaborate with Salesforce admins, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions.
- Coordinate product launch with our Publishing Operations counterpart ensuring effective delivery of your work without negatively impacting operations.
- Drive the adoption of new features and changes through training, documentation, and close collaboration with end-users.
- Monitor platform performance, gather user feedback, and continuously iterate to improve the user experience.
- Ensure data integrity, automation quality, and scalability of operational tools.
- Stay up to date with Salesforce capabilities and recommend improvements and innovations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, or Product Owner on software applications.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct user interviews and use prototypes to build intuitive and scalable solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and prior experience in this areaβ demonstrate your ability to drive insights from data.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with engineers, administrators, and end-users and lead discussion through critical thinking.
- Solid communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ideal experience:
- Deep understanding of internal operations workflows, preferably in a publishing, content, or similar context.
- Familiarity with Salesforce architecture, automation tools (like Flow), and reporting features.
- Experience in academic or scientific publishing operations.
