The Opportunity
As CFO, you will provide strategic financial leadership across the organisation, ensuring robust financial stewardship, long-term sustainability, and effective capital deployment. You’ll work closely with senior defence customers, prime contractors, and government stakeholders — bringing credibility, transparency, and commercial rigour to major programmes and bids.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with the CEO and Executive Team to drive performance, strategy, and shareholder value
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term growth strategies
- Deliver clear, insightful financial reporting to the Board, enabling confident decision-making
- Build and maintain strong governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks
- Support major bids, programmes, and investment decisions with robust financial insight
- Optimise capital allocation to maximise return and support strategic priorities
- Strengthen relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and key external stakeholders
- Develop and lead a high-performing finance function
What We’re Looking For
- Proven CFO (or senior finance leader) experience within complex, regulated environments
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of influencing strategic decisions
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence at Board level
- Deep expertise in financial planning, modelling, governance, and risk management
- Experience working with government stakeholders, defence customers, or similar sectors
- Professional qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA or equivalent)
