I'm working with a leading technology consultancy supporting critical UK National Security programmes, and they're looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a background in National Security to join their team. This is an opportunity to work on complex digital transformation programmes that directly support government customers. You'll play a key role in understanding user needs, shaping delivery priorities and helping teams develop solutions that make a genuine difference. You'll be working alongside experienced delivery, product and technical specialists in a collaborative environment where your expertise, ideas and ability to engage with customers are valued.

The role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll work closely with stakeholders, users and delivery teams to define problems, translate business needs into actionable requirements and support the delivery of effective digital services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding customer challenges and defining the problems to be solved.
  • Engaging with users to identify their needs and translating these into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Supporting Product Owners with backlog creation, prioritisation and ongoing refinement.
  • Working with delivery teams to agree scope, define MVPs and manage delivery outcomes.
  • Modelling business processes, including current-state (As Is) and future-state (To Be) processes.
  • Supporting functional testing and ensuring solutions meet user and business requirements.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across Agile delivery teams.

What we're looking for

You'll have commercial experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within UK Government, National Security or another security-cleared environment. You should have a strong understanding of:

  • Business analysis and the software development lifecycle.
  • Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban and Lean.
  • Functional and non-functional requirements.
  • User stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Stakeholder management and customer engagement.
  • Working with cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Government transformation strategies and service standards.

Active eDV clearance is essential for this position. Candidates must be able to work on UK National Security programmes and meet the relevant customer security requirements.

Why consider this opportunity?

Join a collaborative, technically focused consultancy where you'll have the opportunity to work on challenging National Security projects, influence how digital services are delivered and develop your career alongside experienced professionals. If you're a Senior Business Analyst with active eDV clearance and experience working on National Security or Government transformation programmes, I'd be keen to hear from you.
