Our client, a leading organisation within the Defence sector, is seeking a Programme Finance Analyst to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to develop their career within a complex, fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting programme delivery through high quality financial analysis, forecasting, reporting and business partnering. You will work closely with Programme Managers and senior stakeholders, providing valuable insight that drives decision making and programme performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide robust financial analysis, reporting and business insight to Finance and Programme teams
- Support programme forecasting, budgeting and financial planning activities
- Contribute to Annual Operating Plans (AOP), Long Range Plans and Quarterly EAC processes
- Produce and analyse programme cost data, financial reports and variance analysis
- Support pricing activities and financial modelling for new business opportunities and bids
- Partner with programme and operational teams to improve financial performance and decision making
- Support internal and external financial reviews and audits
- Maintain accurate financial reporting and performance metrics
Essential Skills & Experience
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA preferred)
- Experience with SAP/ Power BI and advanced Excel
- Project Accounting or Finance Business Partnering experience
- Experience within Defence, Aerospace or other complex project based environments
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- Experience supporting cross functional teams including Programme Management, Engineering, Operations, Contracts and Supply Chain
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information clearly
