We're supporting a leading organisation operating at the forefront of National Security, Defence and Cyber Security in the search for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer. This is an opportunity to work on highly secure, mission-critical platforms that support some of the UK's most important defence, intelligence and cyber programmes. You'll join teams delivering cutting-edge capabilities across DevSecOps, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security and Geospatial Intelligence, working with modern technologies in complex operational environments. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must already hold active eDV clearance.
The Role
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in the delivery, support and continuous improvement of secure enterprise-scale systems. Working within Agile and DevOps teams, you'll be responsible for maintaining operational platforms, resolving technical issues and contributing to the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions. This role offers exposure to a broad technology stack and the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled engineers on complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain secure operational infrastructure and environments.
- Perform system administration, maintenance and backup activities.
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure, application and network-related issues.
- Contribute to the installation, configuration and ongoing improvement of systems.
- Assist with infrastructure design, implementation and technical problem-solving.
- Translate customer and project requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to support successful delivery.
Essential Experience
- Active eDV clearance.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum or DevOps delivery environments.
- Background supporting complex software-intensive or infrastructure-focused programmes.
- Strong Linux administration and deployment experience.
- Understanding of enterprise server, storage and desktop technologies.
- Experience working across the full systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements through to delivery and customer acceptance.
- Ability to take ownership of technical deliverables and work effectively with wider project teams.
