As part of their continued growth, they are looking for an experienced BI Developer to join their team in Bridgwater. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in designing and delivering enterprise-scale Business Intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision making across major programmes and projects.
Working within a collaborative and technically skilled team, you'll be responsible for developing scalable Power BI solutions, semantic models and analytics capabilities using the latest Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Fabric.
Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain enterprise Power BI semantic models, dashboards and reports.
- Develop scalable dimensional data models (fact and dimension tables) to support analytical reporting.
- Design and optimise enterprise semantic models using star schema methodologies.
- Develop advanced DAX measures, calculations and KPIs to support business reporting requirements.
- Optimise Power BI datasets and semantic models to maximise performance and scalability.
- Develop and enhance Power Query transformations and troubleshoot data performance issues.
- Optimise SQL queries and underlying data sources for analytical workloads.
- Work with Microsoft Fabric to develop modern analytics solutions.
- Utilise Python within analytics environments, including Fabric Notebooks and Databricks where appropriate.
- Support deployment, governance and automation of enterprise BI solutions.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality reporting solutions.
- Promote best practice across data governance, security and analytics standards.
