We are looking for an RF Test Engineer to join a growing engineering team developing advanced wireless sensing and communications technology.
About the Role
This is a hands-on laboratory role focused on validating RF and mixed-signal hardware, building automated test setups, and working closely with RF, hardware, software, and QA engineers to ensure systems meet demanding performance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Testing and characterising RF hardware and radio systems
- Using spectrum analysers, VNAs, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
- Developing automated test scripts in Python
- Supporting hardware bring-up and troubleshooting
- Analysing RF performance including gain, bandwidth, sensitivity, noise figure, and dynamic range
- Creating repeatable test procedures and technical documentation
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams
Qualifications
Experience in RF test, validation, or characterisation
Required Skills
- Strong practical RF lab skills
- Python-based test automation experience
- Understanding of RF measurement techniques and signal-chain behaviour
- A methodical approach to debugging and problem solving
Preferred Skills
- SDR / Software Defined Radio experience
- SCPI or instrument API automation
- Defence, aerospace, or secure communications experience
