We are looking for Project Controls Managers who enjoy working closely with clients. Not just reporting on performance, but helping shape better outcomes through strong controls, clear insight and trusted advice within the energy and Defence sector. There are opportunities to work on Defence or Energy (nuclear, carbon capture, transmission and distribution or renewable energy) projects. These roles suit professionals with experience working in project or programme environments within defence, nuclear, infrastructure or construction sectors. Hybrid working arrangements (3 days a week client site) are available. SC clearance or above will be required to work on any Defence project and due to the nature of the projects, you must be a Sole UK National. BPSS will be required for any Energy project.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll work alongside client delivery teams to design and lead effective project controls across major capital programmes, including:
- Leading planning, cost, risk and performance reporting activities
- Setting up practical, fit-for-purpose project controls frameworks
- Establishing baselines, governance and performance metrics
- Turning complex data into clear, decision-ready insight for senior stakeholders
- Improving consistency, quality and integration across controls disciplines
- Coaching teams and helping clients build stronger internal capability

- You’ll be an experienced project controls professional with a consultative mindset and strong stakeholder skills. You’ll ideally have:
- Experience leading project controls on complex energy, infrastructure or capital projects
- Strong knowledge of planning, cost, risk and reporting
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and delivery teams
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Experience with common project controls tools and reporting platforms
