We're recruiting a Cloud Operations Engineer (Azure) to join a growing defence focused engineering team working on secure systems. This is a permanent role offering strong long term stability, technical depth and excellent benefits.
The Role
- You'll be responsible for designing, operating and securing Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, supporting high availability environments with a strong focus on security, performance and cost optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and services
- Implement security controls, access management, and compliance measures
- Monitor performance, availability, and cost efficiency across Azure environments
- Support Azure migrations and automate deployments and operational tasks
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams and upskill junior colleagues
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong hands on experience with Microsoft Azure
- AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) required
- AZ-305 β Azure Solutions Architect Expert β desirable
- Experience managing secure, scalable cloud environments
- Background in IoT, manufacturing, or R&D environments highly desirable
- Comfortable working in a defence / secure setting
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to mentor and support others
