My client is a leading Defence SME looking for a Security Controller who can Lead on the provision of security support and advice to meet the needs of the business in line with all relevant policies, procedures, requirements and standards.
Due to the environment, we are looking for candidates who currently hold SC clearance or able to achieve.* What you will be doing: Collaborate and advise on programme and bid related security compliance requirements, preparing security artefacts as necessary to ensure relevant policies, procedures, standards and requirements are met.
Provide security related advice and support to stakeholders, such as event and travel security, to ensure compliance and to promote industry best practice and continuous improvement.
Support security audits and monitor activities to ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, standards and requirements.
Support in the management of security incidents, carry out investigations to ensure effective timely resolution.
Conduct security inductions, security awareness training to ensure a robust security culture in line with industry best practice and compliance with relevant policies and standards.
Develop and implement security initiatives to effectively safeguard people, places, information and company reputation.
About You Proven experience operating within a Defence contractor, FSC or List X environment.
Strong understanding of security governance, compliance and assurance requirements.
Knowledge of FSC compliance, Security Aspects Letters (SALs), personnel security, classified information handling and audit processes.
Experience engaging with MOD customers, auditors and government stakeholders.
Able to provide oversight, governance and assurance across multiple security disciplines rather than acting as a technical specialist.
Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
Desirable Experience Defence Conditions Compliance (DCC).
ISO 27001 and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
Physical security systems, access control and CCTV.
Security risk management and incident response.
