An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing defence business supporting major UK and international programmes. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will lead a small team while acting as a strategic Finance Business Partner to senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow and strategic planning activities
  • Provide commercial and financial insight to support business performance and decision-making
  • Own Estimate at Completion (EAC) processes and support programme financial management
  • Drive Annual Operating Plans (AOP), Long Range Planning (LRP) and investment governance activities
  • Partner with UK and US stakeholders, supporting new business opportunities, pricing and contract reviews
  • Develop and mentor a team of finance professionals while promoting continuous improvement and strong financial controls

Requirements:

  • Qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Strong Finance Business Partnering experience within defence, engineering, manufacturing or complex project environments
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and stakeholder management
  • Commercially astute with the ability to influence senior leadership teams
  • Experience with long-term contracts, programme accounting or EAC processes would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of SAP, Cognos and Power BI desirable
