Main Responsibilities:
- Fibre Jointing: Underground, overhead - wherever the fibre leads, you follow.
- Hit your targets: Splice quickly and defect free, and you’ll be on your way to a great bonus.
- Allocation Wizardry: Understanding and following fibre allocations - like deciphering a secret code.
- Strapping and Labelling: Following Openreach standards. Consistency is key!
- Data Whisperer: Collecting as-build documents using Depotnet software.
- Health & Safety: Complete daily risk assessments prior to any works commencing on site and ensure health & safety is always paramount and SLG / PPE is appropriate for each task.
- Data Collection: Grab your mobile and record job measures and photographic evidence.
- Fleet Checks: Always ensure your company vehicle is in top condition.
- Communication Skills: Whether chatting with colleagues or clients, your professionalism shines.
Essential Qualifications / Requirements:
- UK driving licence
- SA001
- SA002
- Previous experience of splicing
- Comfortable working alone
Desirable Qualifications / Requirements:
- NRSWA Street works accreditation
- Openreach PIA accreditation
- MEWP accreditation
- Experience working with schematics and duct diagrams
- Confident working at heights and in the underground network
- N023 (One Fibre Network FTTP Strategic UG and OH Build)
- SA051C (Tetra)
