As a Senior Principal at Frontier, you will be responsible for the long‑term sustainability and success of the firm. The role involves collaborating across the organisation, providing intellectual leadership, client engagement, team development, and internal leadership to drive growth and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intellectual leadership to ensure Frontier delivers robust, high‑quality analysis that positions the firm at the forefront of the field.
  • Shape the scope of work with clients, drawing on internal expertise and external input, ensuring outputs are credible, insightful and withstand scrutiny.
  • Lead internal teams to deliver high‑quality, timely and impactful advice through effective project management, clear communication and strong client engagement.
  • Support team development, staff well‑being and mentoring.
  • Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with current and prospective clients, deepening understanding of their needs and driving business development.
  • Foster a culture of learning, inclusion and motivation; support the development of colleagues and conduct Career Development Reviews with honesty and fairness.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives and promote firm values, including financial stewardship and active engagement in firm‑wide priorities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of economic experience in a consultancy, regulator or government department.
  • Proven experience in transport‑related projects and the ability to apply microeconomic tools to real‑world policy and business challenges.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a track record of supporting others in collaborative environments.
  • Proficiency in thought leadership, client and project management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to adapt to different audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills – able to manage a varied workload, prioritise effectively and keep stakeholders updated.
  • Relationship building skills – keen to engage with colleagues across the firm, attend meetings and travel to other offices as required.
  • Degree with a strong focus on economics or a related discipline.
