WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Holding the vision of an audio project pillar and aiding the Lead in managing the work on time
  • Helping Leads and Audio Producers identify features and break these down into tasks
  • Owning all communication necessary to deliver feature areas, facilitating and managing cross‑discipline collaboration to achieve alignment and manage bottlenecks
  • Collaborating with developers across the project and within the audio team to design and implement immersive and informative audio features, consistently considering user experience
  • Working in the game and using debug, test‑worlds and development tools to check implementations
  • Mentoring, supervising, and guiding less experienced team members
  • Managing smaller teams as a feature owner or on smaller‑scale projects when required.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Extensive experience in game audio or sound design from a relevant adjacent field
  • Experience of shipping several projects with extensive cross‑discipline (animation, UI etc.) involvement
  • Strong understanding of interactive audio systems and game audio implementation.
  • An expert level of ability and familiarity with DAWs (we use Reaper) and the integrated use of plug‑ins
  • Ability to hold and communicate a creative vision
  • Ability to inspire others by example and the desire to raise the audio quality bar and the user experience.

BONUS IF YOU HAVE

  • An interest in video games (especially Frontier games) and the industry
  • Worked with game audio middleware, we specifically work with Wwise
  • Experience in mentoring less experienced sound designers
  • Previous people management experience and a desire to step into a Lead role in the future.
