We are assisting a great SEN School in Cranleigh (Surrey) to recruit for both newly qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs). You must be a registered SLT or expect your registration shortly. There are great training and development opportunities with this large school that has excellent facilities. These positions are mainly term time only.

You will have a caseload of around 18 students aged 5-19, with severe social communication difficulties and complex learning disabilities, many with autism. With your compassion and guidance, you will help them achieve the greatest possible level of independence and communication skills relative to their complex needs and help prepare them for life beyond school or college.

Responsibilities:
  • Devise, develop and implement therapy for individuals and small groups of students
  • Manage your own caseload of students (approx. 18), setting targets for them on a termly basis
  • Assess students on admission and for annual reviews
  • Supervise the work of Therapy Assistants
Qualifications:
  • Be HCPC registered and belong to the RCSLT
  • Be given regular supervision, mentoring and 1:1 support
  • Due to the location, you should be a car driver and living in Surrey so that you can commute to Cranleigh
