The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the LADO Service with the focus and concentration on children’s protection from harm in education. The Education LADO advises schools and education professionals from Early Years through to 18 on the protection and safety of children in education settings. The LADO role is a statutory role which coordinates and manages allegations of harm against professionals within the field of education. It is a busy, challenging and rewarding role which really focuses the skills, confidence and knowledge of the experienced child protection manager and practitioner. In addition to managing the allegations process, the role incorporates training and development opportunities with our education partners. It includes chairing meetings, producing clear and analytical reports and visits to schools and education settings. The LADO service is a small team comprised of 3 team members. Once you join Haringey you will receive regular Supervision from the experienced LADO Service Manager and our Senior Business Support Officer. In addition to regular team meetings, there are service meetings with colleagues from the Service in which you will be based (the Engagement, Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Service). You have the opportunity to enhance your learning and expertise in this small and continuously developing team. The candidate must be a qualified and registered Social Worker, and have management experience in safeguarding and protecting children. They should have working knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory guidance as well as knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education and related guidance for schools and education settings. They should have excellent communication skills and confidence in communicating with professionals at all levels
