We are working with a leading national Children’s Residential provider to recruit an experienced Children’s Registered Manager or Deputy Manager that would like to step up. This is an established 3 bed EBD home with an excellent team already in place! There is also a £2k Car allowance included in the £48,202 starting salary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the registered Children’s Home Registered Manager for the service
  • Hold full operational and strategic responsibility for the home
  • Maintain continuity within an established team and placement set-up
  • Ensure staffing, rotas and on-call arrangements meet the needs of the home
  • Lead on Ofsted inspections and regulatory compliance

Care Quality & Safeguarding

  • Ensure high-quality, child-focused care is delivered consistently
  • Promote a safe, nurturing and structured environment for young people
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in placement
  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies are implemented effectively
  • Maintain full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and safeguarding standards

Essential Criteria

  • Experience working within Children’s Residential Homes
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a senior role (Deputy Manager or above)
  • Proven leadership experience managing residential childcare teams
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Children’s Homes Regulations
    • Ofsted frameworks and inspection standards
    • Safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Hold or be working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
  • Experience of maintaining or contributing to Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
