An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pensions Administrator to support the delivery of a range of Projects for this award-winning pension consultancy. The Projects team currently have roles within the GMP and De-Risking areas across a range of Defined Benefit pension schemes.

The Role

You will be a key member of a team taking ownership of GMP or Pension De-Risking projects, ensuring high-quality delivery across reconciliation, rectification, equalisation, and liability management exercises. The role combines technical pensions knowledge, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support GMP projects, including reconciliation, rectification, and equalisation
  • Support pensions de-risking exercises, including data preparation for buy-ins and buy-outs
  • Perform and review Defined Benefit calculations
  • Analyse pension data to identify discrepancies, underpayments, and overpayments
  • Oversee rectification work and benefit correction processes
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and reporting
  • Engage with stakeholders to explain technical findings and progress
  • Collaborate with actuaries and administration teams to ensure successful outcomes
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, governance, and compliance
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues

The Person:

Applicants may be experienced pensions administrators looking for a new challenge but you must possess strong defined benefit experience along with confident Excel skills. Strong understanding of pensions legislation and scheme structures along with the ability to perform and validate defined benefit calculations. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong organisational skills and an interest in developing project management capability.
