My client is a highly respected Financial Services organisation with an enviable reputation spanning many decades. Due to growth in their protection area, they require an experienced Claims Assessor with a background in Income Protection, Critical Illness or medical claims. Duties will include:
- Handling claims enquiries from a range of both direct clients and brokers.
- Effectively assess and manage your caseload of IP and CI claims whilst working within authority limits and in accordance with policy conditions.
- Maintain consistent communication with partners and claimants ensuring they are aware of claims progress at all times.
- Ensure service standards are met through providing an efficient and effective service.
- Support less experienced colleagues and identify areas for development and training.
- Accurately record all claims data and interactions.
- Identify areas for process and procedural improvement as well as any potential compliance breaches / fraudulent cases.
Applicants must possess a proven background in Income Protection, Critical Illness or medical claims. You will possess strong medical knowledge regarding conditions and factors affecting such claims along with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle complex / sensitive cases.
