Following the success of our flagship Bournemouth property, THE NICI Lymington brings our signature style to the heart of the New Forest, offering beautifully designed rooms, inviting social spaces and warm, personalised service. We are now looking for a reliable, confident and guest‑focused Night Porter to join our Lymington crew.
The Role
As Night Porter, you will be the welcoming presence and key point of contact for guests throughout the night. You will maintain safety, security and service standards while keeping the hotel spotless, calm and guest‑ready for the morning. You’ll work closely with the Night Manager and Front of House team to ensure smooth operations, handle guest enquiries, support overnight cleaning tasks and take pride in presenting the hotel at its best.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to late‑arriving guests.
- Support check‑ins, check‑outs and guest enquiries during night hours.
- Maintain hotel security with regular patrols and safety checks.
- Ensure public areas are clean, tidy and guest‑ready for the morning.
- Set up or reset event and dining spaces as needed.
- Assist with luggage, deliveries and operational tasks.
- Respond calmly and efficiently to any guest issues or emergencies.
- Work with the Night Manager to uphold NICI service standards.
About You
- Friendly, approachable and confident working independently.
- Comfortable with night shifts and maintaining a professional, calm presence.
- Strong communication skills and a helpful, guest‑first attitude.
- Reliable, responsible and committed to maintaining safety and security.
- Happy to support with light cleaning and physical tasks when required.
- Previous hotel or night‑shift experience is beneficial but not essential — full training is provided.
