The Grand Hotel Leicester is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Night Porter to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at our renowned hospitality venue during the night hours.
The Night Porter is responsible for:
- Ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the hotel overnight
- Providing a warm welcome to guests, assisting with luggage on arrival and departure
- Delivering exceptional guest service throughout their stay, including wake-up calls, message handling, reservations, and responding to requests
- Handling guest queries, complaints, and suggestions promptly and professionally
- Supporting Front of House with cashiering duties, incident reporting, updating system records, and completing night audit procedures
- Maintaining guest safety and security throughout the night, including completion of regular hotel walkrounds
- Ensuring public areas are clean, tidy, and presented to the highest standard at all times
- Completing detailed shift handovers to ensure seamless communication between teams
- Working independently during night shifts while maintaining close communication with the wider hotel team
About You
- Previous experience in a similar Night Porter or Front of House role within hospitality
- Computer literate, with knowledge of Outlook and MS Office systems
- A positive and proactive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A team player committed to delivering a high level of customer service
- Immaculate personal presentation and grooming standards
- The ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient when working independently
- Evening and weekend availability required
