About the Role
Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by the Unlimited Collection is seeking a charming and engaging Night Porter with a passion for service excellence. You will report to the Assistant Front Office Manager, supporting/working towards providing our guests with memorable experiences of the city.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming and assisting guests with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Handling guest inquiries and providing information about hotel services and local attractions.
- Ensuring the security of the hotel and its guests by conducting regular patrols and monitoring security systems.
- Assisting with room service and delivering items to guest rooms as needed.
- Performing light cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the hotel in top condition.
- Preparing and setting up the breakfast area for the morning shift.
- Handling any emergencies or issues that arise during the night shift.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role or in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer skills for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
