As Duty Manager what you’ll be doing: We all know the Duty Manager is the master of all trades so how do we describe the job… Let’s say you’ll be there for the good times and you’ll be there for the tougher times too. Your guests and team members will know when you are on duty. You will be there to support and answer queries, resolve problems and have the ability to anticipate what is round the corner. You’ll need to be comfortable with admin as our Duty Managers use all hotel systems and will at times be producing and sharing collateral for the hotel too. The team here are hands on and while you’re going to spot rota problems or sign for a delivery during our busy times you may find yourself helping with a busy check in, serving a few dishes in the restaurant or throwing some cocktails (all in one day!). This is a management role so you will be overseeing the team and helping the departmental managers provide the best service we can without compromising on our standards.
What happens next with your Duty Manager application? Attract our attention with your application and we’ll call you. After we speak on the phone you can expect a friendly invite to spend an hour or two on a Team Insight with your chosen department – Ask all your questions and we will ask you a few too. If all goes well, you may just become part of the team!
