1st & 2nd Line Support Engineers needed for our London client. This is working at a boutique Managed Service Provider who support high-end hospitality businesses across Central London, looking to add both a 1st Line Support Engineer and a 2nd Line Support Engineer to their expanding technical team. These roles offer the chance to work closely with clients — primarily boutique hotels — through regular on-site visits, providing hands-on support and building strong professional relationships in a friendly, close-knit environment.
The Roles are ideal for someone proactive, personable, and confident being the first point of contact. You will provide day-to-day support across user issues, maintenance, and remote troubleshooting while delivering an excellent client experience.
2nd Line Support Engineer is suited to a 1st Line Support Engineer or Junior 2nd Line who has some solid technical depth and experience handling escalations. You will work on issues involving servers, networks, and infrastructure, as well as contributing to wider project-based work.
Key Responsibilities
- 1st Line
- Provide prompt on-site and remote support to clients
- Log, diagnose, and resolve a broad range of hardware/software issues
- Escalate advanced incidents to the 2nd line team while maintaining ticket ownership
- Carry out routine maintenance and support regular client visits
- Handle technical escalations from the 1st Line team
- Troubleshoot advanced issues across Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, and virtual environments
- Perform patching, updates, and server/infrastructure maintenance
- Support project delivery such as deployments and system upgrades
