Our Space Imaging business in Chelmsford provides high performance CCD, Infrared and CMOS sensors for space science, earth observation, astronomy, and high energy physics applications.
Summary:
- Development of new and existing Probe capabilities for the testing of CCD / CMOS Wafers.
- Work with Production Engineers to ensure DFM (design for manufacture) is optimized.
- Assist with development and writing procedures for the prototyping of new products.
- Continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes and work instructions, working with the wider production/manufacturing team.
- Generation of SAP ME routings from the manufacturing flow diagrams.
- Generation of SAP BOM's and master data, working with design, engineering and procurement teams.
- Ensure all documentation is confirmed through Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
- Manage and optimize operations flow (information and production flow).
- Assist with production trials and ensure all relevant documentation is completed.
- Work to existing NPI processes.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Experience of Production/Manufacturing.
- Experience of developing manufacturing processes.
- Experience of working in a project manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with documented results.
- The ability to work effectively in a team.
- Self‑motivation.
- Attention to detail.
- HNC in Engineering or Physics or equivalent experience.

- Experience within an Electronics product manufacturing environment.
