We’re looking for a hands‑on and detail-oriented Torch Repair Technician to join our team, based at our Technical Competence Centre in Milton Keynes.

In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining Fronius welding torches and hose packs to ensure customers receive the highest level of performance and reliability.

Working closely with customers and internal teams, you'll play an important part in delivering exceptional service while contributing to the smooth operation of our repair workshop.

  • In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain customer-owned Fronius welding torches and hose packs.
  • Service and maintain Fronius demonstration and rental equipment, ensuring it is fully operational and ready for use.
  • Assess customer equipment and prepare detailed repair evaluations to support quotations and recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment faults, identify root causes, and implement effective repair solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and completed work.
  • Support inventory management activities, including stock control, stocktaking, and replenishment of workshop materials.
  • Work to agreed repair schedules and proactively communicate any delays or deviations.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with company standards and health and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop and service operations.

We're looking for someone with the following skills and experience

  • Technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in equipment repair, maintenance, servicing, or installation.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Basic knowledge of manual electrode, TIG, and MIG/MAG welding processes would be advantageous.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good IT literacy and experience using digital systems for reporting and record keeping.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and participate in ongoing technical training.
  • Good English language skills and/or local language proficiency appropriate for the role.
