We’re looking for a customer focused person, based in the Milton Keynes and surrounding area, to join our Fronius Welding team and fulfil the role of Field System Engineer in our Technical Support department. You will be responsible for the installation, service, repair and calibration of Fronius welding solutions both in-house and at our customer's sites in the UK and Ireland. With your industry and technical knowledge, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation of our strategy to take welding to the next level.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Repair of Fronius welding equipment including inverters, torches, hose packs, and automated systems
- Providing support to customers and troubleshooting
- Providing service and calibration of welding equipment
- Safety test and weld test after repair and servicing
- Providing technical support for the introduction of new products/systems/processes into the market
- Providing email and telephone support for technical and welding queries/problems
- Providing pre-sales and after-sales support to sales team and customers
- Providing support and demonstration of welding equipment
- Assisting with events (trade fairs, open days, seminars, etc.)
- Assisting with stock control
We're looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Technical experience preferably on technical support of electrical equipment
- Electrical engineering qualification
- Single and 3-phase electrical fault finding and repair skills
- IT skills including Microsoft office suite (Excel & Word)
- Basic knowledge of manual electrode, TIG and MIG/MAG welding processes will be an advantage
- Sales minded/ good customer communication skills
- Good communication skills and knowledge
