We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Kitchen and Catering Assistant to become a part of our team at a busy factory canteen, which serves approximately 300 to 400 customers daily.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation and service for our factory and office staff.
  • Food preparation and cooking.
  • Cleaning dishes and utensils.
  • Maintaining kitchen equipment.
  • Restocking vending machines.
  • Serving customers.
  • Processing payments.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Prior experience in catering is essential.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and work independently.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude are crucial attributes.
  • Basic arithmetic and reading skills are necessary for completing food safety records and managing cash transactions.
  • Strong communication skills are important.
  • Applicants must possess a Level 2 Basic Food Hygiene qualification.

About the Role

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about food, committed to customer service, and highly motivated. The working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, five days a week, which may include some weekends. Experience in large-scale catering within a similar kitchen environment is preferred.
